Description UK made Nylon windproof ‘shirt’ from TRC Outdoors. Gen. 2 colour shade, darker than initial, pre 2021 production of these shirts. The ‘Cierzo’ provides an ultra-lightweight, windproof, hooded layer. Descended from the old school classic ‘Zoot Suits’ made from parachute canopy ‘silk’, first created in France in 1944 by SAS troops operating behind enemy lines in advance of the D Day landings. This new incarnation of a military favourite is made in the UK by the same company that produced the silk for those WW2 parachutes. Utilising modern 30D Ripstop Polyester fabric, each shirt weighs less than 175grammes, packs smaller than a ‘jack’ flask, and is supplied complete with fabric matching stuff sack. Small enough to drop into a pocket, belt kit or pack, last image demonstrates pack size. Use it as a windproof outer layer, as lightweight intermediate layer, wear it under a damp outer layer while it dries out. The manufacturer suggests these for wet & dry drills in the jungle. Multicam and Multi Terrain Pattern MTP compatible camouflage pattern, designed to be compatible with many of the ‘multi-terrain’ or ‘multicamo’ camouflage patterns in Military around the world. One size fits most, up to 50” chest, these are designed to be loose fitting, with raglan style sleeves for freedom of movement. All seams are chain stitched for strength, bronnadex elasticated cuffs and hem, to reduce bulk and weight this item does not feature adjustment in the hood. Available in two fittings; regular for users up to 6’ or long for those over 6’. Our model is UK smock size 180/96 and is approximately 5′ 10″ the regular length is longer enough for him with some length to spare.
