1983 Empress of China Porcelain Painting with Frame

Year: 1984 Manufacturer: Franklin Porcelain Condition: Near mint condition First edition vintage collectable The Empress of China is a Thomas Wesley Freeman porcelain painting depicting the historic 1784 voyage of the first American ship to sail from the newly independent United States to China and transporting the first official representative of the American government to Canton, opening the door to trade in the Far East. President Washington bought a set of Chinese porcelain tableware from the ship. The porcelain is in excellent condition with no chips or scratches and has glass over the top to protect it. The burlwood frame is also in great shape and with brass trim inlay measures 10 1/4″ x 18 1/4″ x 7/8″. Has a certificate of authenticity on the back.
