Year: 1940’s, 1950’s Manufacturer: Unknown Condition: Very good condition figure 1st edition vintage collectable To be honest I’d never heard of carnival chalkware until I saw this item at an estate sale. The date is unknown, but most carnival chalkware was made in the 1940’s or early 50’s. The statue has a primitive painted look on purpose, and is decorated with glitter, making it a unique variation. Snow White is unmarked, so she’s probably not a licensed product based on the Walt Disney animated film, but instead a statue made for giving away as prizes. It’s a big 15″ tall by 5 1/2″ wide. Snow White has lost just a little of her glitter, (haven’t we all), but overall is in very good shape for it’s age, with no cracks or chips and the semi-glossy paint job is still bright and nicely done for a collectable originally given away at a carnival.
